1、Dates for enrolment B2023 2023年第二学期注册日期

In preparation for the B2023 enrolment period, we would like to highlight a few key dates.

B Trimester Orientation: 3rd – 15th July 2023

Trimester B begins on 10th July 2023

The final date for international student enrolments: 21st July 2023.

We encourage students to enrol on time as this may impact on their Post Study Work Rights (PSWR) eligibility.

我们鼓励学生按时注册，否则可能会影响到他们的学习后工作权利（PSWR）申请的资格。

In order to be eligible to apply, they must be enrolled in at least 30 weeks of study physically in New Zealand, full time (45 points per trimester to be safe). Online study does not count towards PSWR eligibility, only study done in NZ.Study recesses are not included when calculating the number of eligible weeks.University of Waikato can only provide information to students, not immigration advice.  

Students should be encouraged to take responsibility for determining if their study will meet the eligibility to apply for PSWR.

为了符合申请资格，他们必须在新西兰进行至少30周的全日制学习(每学期45个学分)。

2、Changes to PhD application process PHD申请流程的变化

The University has introduced a new process for students applying for higher degrees research programmes. This new process will improve efficiency and turnaround times in processing applications. The information is now live on our website with details of the new application process.

New applications are processed every month instead of three times per year.

Students MUST have contacted potential supervisors and have agreements with a university academic staff member to provide supervision before submitting interest. They will then be invited to apply.

3）Master of Engineering Flexible Start Dates工程硕士灵活的开始时间

Our Master of Engineering (ME) programme is a research focused degree that gives graduates opportunities to seek employment as a professional engineer or to start a career in research.

This popular programme allows students to start their degree at any time with agreement from their supervisor. Once the student applies for the programme, a conditional offer letter with supervisor contact details will be issued. Students wishing to complete 30 points of taught papers will need to undertake this study in either A or B trimester.
